Keith Gray...

Firstly, thanks for coming in to my website. I hope you

find it informative, whether you are old enough to have been around when The Beatles dominated the

world of fashion and music, or perhaps a younger fan

of their music. Born in 1952, I was destined to be a

follower it seems ! It was a priviledge to have been there, buying the records, collecting the magazines, hearing their latest single on our little transistor radio's.. or watching out for your favourites on TV, on

Ready Steady Go, or Thank your lucky Stars, usually

in good old black and white !

The Fab four were receiving blanket coverage as their

popularity spread, and we lapped it up. I can't recall any of my young pals who were not Beatle fans, boys and girls alike.

I was 10 years old when my Father brought the family

a record player, in 1963, and I had the choice of four

records from the 'Hit Parade' (as it was fondly known,

back then) and my first choice was From Me To You !

From then on it was all Beatles, even though there were many new and talented groups emerging, they

were the trend setters.

On the day that Magical Mystery Tour was shown for the first time, on BBC 2 Boxing Day 1967, I remember watching it at my home in Birmingham, and having a

hard time understanding what it was all about, but then again, it was The Beatles...so it had to be OK !!

More recently my work as an entertainer brought me to

Newquay in 1991, and I'm now proud to be the originator of the 'Mystery Tour Revival Project' and to be highlighting the cultural link between this scenic town and the most successful of popular music groups.
